however, while sitting in the hot tub you cannot see the beach due to the privacy wall height. Our room faced the beach and had a hot tub on our deck.
We stayed for three nights at the Sea Venture Hotel. This place does an outstanding job of providing the kind of memorable stay that will keep you coming back and make you want to tell others of your great times here. The front desk staff were extremely helpful, printing out directions to nearby markets for us and offering us a towel for the sand shower upon our return from the beach. Since we waited until after Labor Day, we received a very favorable rate for our stay and even received a complimentary bottle of chilled, decent quality champagne (delivered at the time you request). Additionally, they have bicycles and beach towels available for use (that's where the $7 resort fee comes into play). The motels to the north are situated on the bluffs, so you have to drive to get to the beach area and downtown. One reason we love this place is because of its proximity to the beach, downtown area and the scenic dunes to the south. After a morning walk on the beach (which is right there in front of the motel), it was time for another soak in the hot tub before heading on out. The meat and egg fritata was better than we expected. We had signed up for the optional $5 breakfast to be delivered in the morning (you pick the time) and it came on time and was delicious.

The soak in the hot tub before bedtime under a full moon and NO fog was memorable. All of the things we love about this place were all there - the comfy bed, the classy bathroom, the fireplace, dimmer lights above the bed, the CLEAN spa on our own private balcony - even a radio with CD player and input for i-pod type players beside the bed.
We had requested a specific room and that request was fulfilled, no problem. The staff at the front desk were attentive, pleasant and courteous from the moment of our arrival. We've been here several times before and have had some very enjoyable and memorable moments at this place. My wife and I just returned from a very pleasant stay at this motel. We both enjoyed our stay very much and have absolutely no complaints. We visited the restaurant upstairs one night and enjoyed dinner so much that the next night we ordered room service.
I was fine with it, but if that would bother you, I wouldn't recommend staying here. The rooms are well maintained, however they are still the same dark green color that they were in the 90's. It was very romantic and it was actually less expensive to book this deal than the regular rate. There was a rose on the bed, rose petals on the floor, chocolate covered strawberries and balloons. Out room had a full ocean view, fireplace and Jacuzzi tub on the balcony. Check-in was easy and both girls at the front desk were very pleasant. Everything we wanted and or needed was within walking distance. Once we parked our car upon arrival, it never left the parking garage.
Since our last stay, they have added on to the hotel and built a covered parking area. I found a great deal on a celebration package and decided to go back for my husband's birthday in June. I will never forget our visit there and won't believe any negative reviews on here because they don't know what they are talking about.My husband and I stayed at Sea Venture many years ago 1990's) and had a wonderful time. Girls at the desk were fantastic and even gave us a little anniversary card. Hated to leave but was heading up the coast. They have underground parking so felt that our car was very secure and easy to get to in the morning. It was great to have a beautiful restaurant upstairs that had excellent food and lovely music playing., After we walked down to the pier and local water holes and gift shops that was just very short walk. Fireplace was beautiful and was great that we had it going cause it was cool but had the door open and listen to the ocean waves all night. We had a room that looked like the picture! Spotless, beautiful, with a balcony with hot tub and table and chairs looking out on the ocean feet away! Even provided robes, very thick and comfy. We stayed November 4th for our anniversary.
